When I interviewed recently there were 5 of us interviewing.

We all 5 got the offer.

My background:
4000+ TT
1300 TPIC in a corporate jet
Some leadership stuff at my 135 operation.
Recently jumped to an ACMI flying heavy jets.
Mediocre college GPA
No internal recs
I went to a meet a greet.
Nothing else really out standing.

The other candidates that day were all regional Captains/Check-airman/Training Department

I also have 3 friends that have been hired in the last month.

2 Straight out of corporate aviation with 3-4000TT and 1000+ TPIC, both had leadership roles in their departments.

The other guy jumped from a Learjet to SunCountry 10 months ago. 3500TT/600TPIC. No leadership roles.

I’d say it generally seems like they want TPIC and leadership roles. If you want AA go shake some hands and figure out what you need to do to get there.

Well......Delta kind of changed the game with this whole stage check failure reporting. Technically not reported failure to the FAA. You can bust every checkride at a part 141 and the Feds will never know.

I would just say yes and tell the story. Much easier.

Not officially…. It depends on how a question is worded.
