Thank you, APA

As a UAL guy, I was dismayed by the turd our negotiating committee sent us. Your new proposal caused out NC to insert a desperately needed spine and suspend all roadshows. They have effectively said that they know the TA is a bust, and are needing to start over. The thousands of line Pilot emails, calls, and overwhelming disgust wouldn’t get these outta touch fools to do an about face, but your announcement did! Let’s keep the upward pattern bargaining pressure, my friends!

It was a proposal from the company not APA. A proposal which didn’t even hit a bunch of items on our list.

So can we at United just hire American management to negotiate for us, they seem to do better than our NC

ah, gotcha…. We’ll, sad to say that AA management offers better deals than our own NC can negotiate in 5 years!

Any apparent progress is because of the United TA. Prior to this $2bil (2 year) unilateral proposal by management we were told to expect annual improvements of around $65mil, yes million.

Any concept that APA helped us very misplaced. Our NC is useless and does nothing more than milk the system.

A list of bullet points is not a TA.

You’re conflating multiple things here. The offer before this was 4/3 on the pay raise. Delta like profit sharing, and 65M/year in quality of life improvements. This new offer is now just combining everything into one figure, which totals up to 2B over two years in TOTAL contract value. It’s not going from 65M to 2B lol. Get real.

One thing you did get right is that this is not a TA. And thank god for that.

Thanks for clarifying. My mistake

Those proposed pay rates from AA management are no closer to where they need to be than your T/A was.

In case anyone is thinking this was some kind of breakthrough….

APA Negotiating Commitee didn’t do a thing. They’re too busy picking up premium. AA management pulled a typical slimball move by bypassing the union and going directly to the pilot group. That is NOT negotiating in good faith and yet another example of what this management team thinks of the AA pilot.

You can call it a slimeball move and not in good faith, but AA is giving better contract offers than our own union is getting. As you said, they're too busy picking up premium. If AA wants to offer us more while our zero results union looks after themselves, cool with me.
