ok I understand your point for sure....but what if you have a crappy PBS awarded schedule and have the ability to drop those trips or turn them into less days worked trips....now let's say you have 10 days worth of trips at about 60hrs of credit....why wouldn't you pick up premium to get back to your originally scheduled amount of work days, say 15, and might I add if you do it right a heck of alot less flights and block? that's what I do...I end up flying WAY WAY less block for the company, less days worked, and they pay me alot more....if the union said no more PM pickups please, ok fine I would do it...I would still move my schedule around that works for me and my family but now I pick up straight time??? PBS here sucks and the only life line some have to live a normal life is to use LS, ttot, tts...point is that I am not going to work weekends, holidays, birthdays, soccer games etc if I don't have too and if I drop trips or shrink them to do it I am not taking a pay cut to do it...drop my trips and see my family and life happen and don't pickup, or miss my family and life events that I don't have too and take my 85hr crappy PBS award, those are the options???

Why pick up premium when it’s worth less than our peers? Why not just stay out of premium until we get a contract ?

I blame the younger crowd that do it out of pure greed and ignorance. They (we) are the ones screwing ourselves over the long term. If you are a 35 year old, 12000ish FO that is picking up premium you are screwing yourself long term.
And who died and made you arbiter? It’s ok for one group to fly their contract, but not another? Ya ok buddy. Greed you say? This isn’t a social club, It’s a job. If it wasn’t for the money I’d never come to work again.

Default Scheduling “glitch”

The APA “illness” is on full display. Seeking to reward the few while ignoring the whole. I hope that I’m wrong.

Nothing has been released and APA pilots are already *****ing. Par for the course.

Permanent holiday pay and TTS improvements don’t benefit everyone?

They better have a message for the pilots by the end of the day one way or another. If they decide to make all those pairings green again but at a high premium, guys with trips on the 6th need to know before 8 am tomorrow

I don't follow what you're attempting to say at all. It's just too cryptic a comment. Would you expand on your comment somewhat please?

To add, yes, I read your second ever post regarding your complete horror story at USAir. I totally understand your absolute disgust for your former union - and I'm guessing also your current one. I'm just not quite following your comment with regard to this particular mess.

(on a side note, based on your first two posts under this screen name, you remind me of someone else who pops in here every once in a while under a different screen name )

Depends if those are actual changes in writing or "the CEO has personally assured me"

bc I have dropped trips to improve my schedule and QOL with my family…so my schedule is way less than my original award….what am I suppose to do? Drop and fly 10-12 days for 60 hrs, or pick up PM to rebuild my credit? Fly my original award and miss all the time I could have with my wife and kids doing stuff, that’s not going to happen…if you have a better idea I am all ears….I know the contract very very well, I have 2 friends on the contract compliance committee and fight everything illegal assigned to me. I call in fatigue, don’t extend…I wouldn’t say I am one who leans forward.
