They have lost a ton of FOs and allot of the FOs are talking 2.5 years to get the 1000 hours to upgrade... So they will throw money at the problem.. plus the captains are still leaving despite the flow bonus and pay... Since in the training department are electing to stay.

The training department announced it is kicking a large % of the instructor group back to be line pilots and taking away their instructor pay/schedule/perks. LCAs still haven’t been paid for work they’ve been doing since June and the company didn’t pay a bunch of pilots or flight attendants because the competent person who worked in payroll quit… and company wonders why people are still leaving.

Envoy is doing the same thing. Current bonuses expire for new hires after December 31st. This is another stab by AAG at trying to keep their regionals staffed with captains. It has a two year hook. And all outside the CBA.

Longer term... I think they kind of need to make some money eventually. The only legacy which I recall embracing the idea that regional feed should operate at a loss to feed the hub went BK several times, and got acquired.
