Schoolhouse rumor - for what its worth - is the 777-200s are going away as they come up on their heavy checks because it is too much $ to keep them around.

So AA is just going to become a massive narrow body airline?

Correct. All wide bodies are being parked by fall of 2024.

Dumb rumor, there’s too much $ to be made with surging demand for international travel to park any widebodies. The 777s will be around for a long time.

Yeah thats bad gouge. Not the same rumor that I heard. The company already regrets the timing of the 75/76/330 sundown with the covid demand rebound and Boeing delays. That's not going to happen until there are direct replacements down the road.

Schoolhouse rumor I heard was that the -200s would be replaced with -300s.

Par for the course with schoolhouse rumors. In other words, nobody knows a damned thing.

Van driver told me we’ll be getting some used Concordes while we wait for Boom SST. Former pointy nose mil guys only (special qual).

Funny, he said all the wide bodies are being replaced with DC-3s, whatever they are.
