Come for the beans, stay for the lobster rolls.

But is it worth it if you have to fly the 73?

I'd have to think the seafood is better in MIA...

Anyone know the details about the basing of the XLRs? At the interview, they said they'd be at BOS. Now it seems like the plan is PHL.

Honetly Vasu is such an idiot, he likely uses a dart board to decide where future aircraft are deployed. He should have used a spreadsheet like excel or apple numbers to keep track of the number of international landing slots American has. To his defense though, we lost the landing slots and he still got promoted so it worked out well for him in the end.

I think Phl has always been a plan.. most flying is already Airbus and anything in the NE is fair game for the XLR. Last rumor with CP was BOS to gain an Airbus base when the XLR comes on property. Again rumors are rumors till they are officially announced at any airline.

They probably want to hold off as long as possible on a BOS airbus base (because of all the training events it will create),until they get a handle on the training backlog. They are supposedly going to get LGA airbus pilots International qualed in the coming year. It would not surprise me to see them use other bases to cover BOS international, a la how DAL does it. Or just DH us up there like we already do
for some long haul routes around the system.
