where is this information from? LGA 737 upgrade is less than 3 years. Maybe less than 2.5

3XP expanded for June.

Where are you getting yours?

What errors? It's being pulled from Expanded 3XP

If you show something else, let me know and I'll get it corrected.

Interesting. Maybe the expanded 3XP data is lagging.

It is because you searched June. Put in a month later in year to see the last vacancy results accurately placed since they will theoretically be done with training. Try December 2023

I don't think that's accurate either. Isn't that just based on seniority numbers (which doesn't take into account those who retired or left the company since they published the last seniority list in July 2022 or whenever it was)? I could be wrong though

a month later will match June. It hasn’t been updated for July and Aug…just Sept. Sept will be the latest and greatest.

I said a month later in the year like December.

copy, yes Dec will work as will anything Sept and beyond. Didn’t see the “like December” part.

I am showing total pilots at 14,721. Reference Expanded 3XP.

Yeah idk, my reference was AA Pilots. I’ve been glancing at it periodically to calculate the numbers already hired behind me. Maybe they just update weekly new hires excluding retirements.

AApilots only shows “listed” seniority numbers that are only updated once a year in July. So they are accurate for about a day. APA has what you need: relative seniority numbers and a seniority list that tells you how many people are below you at a glance

Thank you both. I revised and used December for the updated numbers.

I'm curious though, why anything "September and beyond"? If the spreadsheet is updated next month, would it then be October and beyond? Is the 3 month look forward simply because of training? I'm hard headed.

Thanks.

yes. There are multiple training start dates with every vacancy. Usually 3. This December vacancy will have Oct, Nov & Dec start dates. Also it won’t account for people being withheld if you want to know the junior award.

The APA updated the Sept award when it was preliminary and put everybody as Sept. they never updated it after the final…so Jul/Aug just match Jun and then it jumps in Sept. the reality is people will switch in July and Aug too.

What are AA’s projected hiring totals for the next year or two?

they are telling everyone 2000+ per year. They are putting about 60 in class every Wednesday.

Except for June and last December and probably this December as well…

How is this known? Are you cross referencing actual awards with APA's Expanded 3XP or do you have the inside scoop?

This is correct. As of Today, the lowest seniority number is 16241. The seniority number is based on a snapshot from last July 2022. The real number on property is around 15200 pilots now. We will see an accurate list this July when the company updates the master list. The union puts out a more accurate list every month (showing all that have retired or resigned or medical out), but it has not come out yet this month.

I do have an inside scoop. I didn’t cross reference, but did look at 3xp for Jun, July, Aug, Sept and saw that Jun thru Aug was pretty much the same, and Sept jumped by 20% (the good way). I figured that they wouldn’t program every upgrade for Sept and was right.
