Counterproposal
APA email is morning:
[...]
While these items were included in the proposal, some of the finer details are problematic:
We believe every one of these items is reasonable, represents parity with the industry standard, and should absolutely be attainable in short order. Simply put, we insist that American Airlines pilots are just as deserving of these quality-of-life items and work rules as our peers at Delta and United. Scott Kirby has shown he is committed to investing in his pilots and has offered them a contract that demonstrates that commitment. We call on Robert Isom to do the same; our pilots deserve nothing less. (Edited for formatting) |
There were 4 emails in the space of 7 hours Friday night, the 21st, demonstrating how dysfunctional, manipulative and dishonest our APA leadership is. There was also a tacit admission that ALPA is better than APA in the use of “DL/UA industry standard” in the email.
APA. Putting the “eff’d-up” in dysfunctional. Unions are supposed to put the fear of, and anger towards, management to rally the troops. This is how they justify their existence, like broadcast news. Instead they all just make you shake your head. Management is just as bad, but the keep it to themselves. |
