Going to interview while having a CJO
A while back I interviewed and was given a CJO from American which is my number 1 choice. I have an interview set up with southwest in a couple of weeks and was wondering if I should still go to that interview or cancel it? It feels weird going to an interview that I know I will more than likely not accept a CJO from but I have heard it's good to go as a backup in case something happens at American. If I do go is there any downside, like American could find out and get upset?

please go to southwest interview, it might help get this contract done! Haha. I can’t imagine anyone would care. I keep hearing these mil dudes with 3-4 job offers at the same time

HAHA im the exact oposite, class date with SWA and interview with AA. I figured why not hear what they have to say although if I chose AA I would have to commute or move. |
Never pass up the opportunity to do an interview. You never know in this day and age if some war or another pandemic is going to pop up next week and the whole industry changes on a dime. It's happened before and it'll happen again.
The worst thing about having multiple CJOs is the dichotomy of choice. Not a bad problem to have. |

Agree above; go to any and every Major Airline interview and treat it like you have ZERO CJOs, lots can change in a year. I have CJOs or an interview scheduled at each. I’ll make the decision when my availability nears with more info then than I have now. Contracts, bases, family QOL answers, etc. Look at FedEx for instance. A year ago they were where people wanted to go and be. Look at what’s happening now.

If you have the luxury of moving to an AA base the decision isn’t even close.
