I'm aware. Still shouldn't take that long to update a seniority list.

APA has a list that’s updated every month.

Or you can look at the APA Expanded 3XP Beta and see your live seniority number if the list was shuffled that day.

Yeah I know, but that kind of proves my point. If the union can update it every month, why can't the company do it more often than once a year?

Because they have always done it that way and they wouldn't want to give anyone a free "win" by changing it.

Because American Airlines management just doesn’t care.

There are a lot of things they could have some high school intern program for free. They just. Don’t. Care.

Am I the only one thats like we get paid a poop ton of money to work half a standard month, so who cares?!

Anyways. Fort Mill for families, South Park/Providence/waxhaw for anyone else

It doesn't mean we need to go to bed and wake up next morning thinking about AA and every single detail that needs to be improved, but if we don't act as a barrier, and if we don't "fight" management through our union (yes I know), then management would slowly get rid or everything they could get rid of, if it meant saving $1. So yes, we get paid a lot, but we still need to fight to keep it and/or improve things, not because we are greedy, but because otherwise management will do what they do best, screw the pilot group.

Like seriously how good is your life if the thing you are complaining about is that your seniority number isn't instantly updated when someone retires lol

Who cares, the only thing that matters is relative position when bidding and we already get that in PBS. There is zero reason for AA to divert attention to something like this but yet people are actually upset about it and bring negativity to the job/working here because of it.

I genuinely hope nothing ever truly bad happens in ones life to make them reframe their appreciation for having it really good before "the event". **** can get bad fast and your life can change on a dime.

All that matters is your relative seniority, who cares what the number is on the NS? Other than ego?

THIS. Most of my FOs are senior to me. My brief is “im only here because it hit, pick your legs”

Very true, however a counter point. I fly with mostly senior captains in the 3-4000 and below numbers and almost every single one looks at my seniority number and how young I am when we meet and it gets annoying hearing the "Ah welcome to AA junior" and then getting treated like I'm a brand new pilot for the next 3 days. So yes, ego.
