DNP. Life gets better if you remove 1 or 2 guys. Riding a jumpseat back from Oshkosh (if you've never gone it's a treat, I should have gone decades sooner). FO is the 3rd person off the airplane, a pax, me from the jumpseat...and the FO. Said the Captain was pure misery. He saw this great trip in open time and it sat there. He was able to pick it up. Afternoon PHL-LAX, day 2 was LAX-ORD-PHL. Home around 8-9 PM??? "I learned my lesson. That's the second time I've grabbed a trip that I couldn't believe no one was picking up. Previous was a long SXM layover in the winter. Next time I'll ask around - "what's this Captain like? They were both pricks. That's why the trips were sitting there." |
Mostly true, passengers can’t really tell the age of the aircraft, but they can tell the age of the interior. The exception is when you have old aircraft constantly breaking (like the 757/767’s). Be thankful American got rid of those old birds when they did.
