Alaska Merger

At least according to Bloomberg AA made an offer to AS before pitching a more coordinated revenue sharing agreement. That would have been interesting.

From a network perspective they compliment each other pretty well. From a seniority perspective, please no.

The earnings call this morning discussed their relationship and it’s pretty obvious management wants to take advantage of this administration and create a closer tie between AS/AA

I’ve been saying this for a while. Of course, it was met with “I don’t know what I’m talking about.” If they’re going to make a move, now is the time to do it—especially with this administration.

That went away when AA gave up SEA international flying when they had the codeshare feed from Alaska. One flight per day to PHL, a few to DFW and a few to CLT. Nothing to JFK. Yeah, no AA base ever in Seattle. RJs to LAX and PHX.
