Ouch. Sorry guys, but at least you didn't give up 32.5% of your pay first, to stay out of bankruptcy.
Good luck, we all hope you fare well, but we all know why they filed, and it's not to pay pilots more. |
This ought to be a long thread:-(

Best of luck to all AMR employees.

American Airlines Parent AMR Corp. Files for Bankruptcy - Bloomberg
American Airlines parent AMR Corp. (AMR) filed for bankruptcy after failing to secure cost-cutting labor agreements and sitting out a round of mergers that dropped it from the world’s largest airline to No. 3 in the U.S. Expect the pilot contract to resemble United's and Delta's. Let's hope it's more like Delta's. http://www.airlinecrew.net/vbulletin...ies/cool_2.gif |
Mister Arpey "Retired" then they file for Chapter 11 protection, how nice.

Saw this coming for a long time. I'm surprised that there weren't more pilots retire that what did. Pensions will be good as gone now.
I sure hope APA doesn't cave as a result of this. Stay strong. |

Just like Anderson left NWA, then they filed, now Anderson is at DAL/NWA...with an 'unblemished' record. Nice work if you can get it. So...who's next? That only leaves One Major who has not (yet) filed Bankruptcy...and you know who that is. And so begins the next round of "We'd like to pay you more but we have to lower our costs to compete with X, Y and Z." |
