Severance....It's big, worth its wait in gold, and will be untouchable in BK courts. I'm guessing 20 mil+ with guarantee stock prices and options. Lifetime free flights in first class, lifetime medical, probably a country club memebership, and tickets to the Dallas Mavs if he likes basketball.

If you ever get the chance to read the executive compensation section in an annual shareholders report, you'll find that Arpey had personal security for him and his family as one of his benefits. I'm sure they all do. Pu$$ies. They're a bunch of spineless scumbags. Reading that section will make you want to puke. On top of the staggering amount of money in bonuses and other compensation he recieves, I found the "personal allowance" of $36,000 kind of amusing. That must just be his beer money or something. The truly sad part is, that is more money than a lot of employees of Eagle and American make total in a year. The people that actually do the work to keep the airline going. But the damn employees are making too much, dragging the company down. This pricks beer money. These people are shameless.

Gerard Arpey joins Larry Kellner's firm
When former Continental CEO Larry Kellner resigned at the end of last year he left to start his own private equity firm in Houston, the Emerald Creek Group.
It didn't take long for Gerard Arpey to find a place to land. According to this article:

In the business world it becomes so hard to be honest, when so many are con-men.
I apologize for American's Bankruptcy. You, the AA employees, are why American has been such a good airline. As a child I relished in your service and company.I am so sorry and wish you the best in the future. I am also disgusted with your managers.
Thank you for not caving in to your A***** management team. Thank you for not having your expectations lowered. And most importantly, I am rooting for you.
First step in "fixing" this industry is Kicking out all these con-men/bs artists. Next step is to take back our flying.
Arpey's karma will haunt him one day, along with the other snake oil salesmen.
Keep your head-up and CONTINUE TO FIGHT! You are AA.

I disagree. As a conservative, I can tell you that the majority of these SCUM BAGS are unethical, dishonest and manipulators.
Look at our country and what it has become today. Dishonesty, manipulation and the lack of ethics is to blame.
I dont mind CEO and Management teams getting golden parachutes and high pay, if they conduct business with integrity.
