American reports third quarter operating income of $51M, net income (excluding reorganization items and special charges) of $110 million, and a net loss of $238 million.


delays and cancellations: "net impact of these disruptions to third-quarter financial results was not material.”

These numbers do appear unusual for a business in bankruptcy proceedings. The American legal system.

Maybe it's just me, but that is exactly what I would expect them to say whether delays and cancellations actually impacted results or not. Call me cynical I guess.
