First Year is $40/hour. The MOU states that APA is entitled to $87 million/year in modifications to the CBA so I would assume that would affect these rates.

The application of some of that money may or may not be applied toward probationary pay. You'll note the scales you post have first year probie pay absent and the APA may choose to put all of that future improvement money towards attempting to make current pilots as whole as possible considering the losses they've endured over the last decade and again as a result of Chapter 11.

Hey Eaglefly, any rumors on the fate of Eagle, PSA, and PDT post-merger?

Does that $87/mil a year go to just AA pilots? or US pilots too?

Like, could we see one huge bonus for AA pilots? Or contractual improvements that will apply to everyone?

I believe the 87/mill/yr is for contract improvements at the APA's choice. Dougie doesn't care what, as long as they agree on the valuation of the changes. So figure whatever items were given up in the contract that APA would like to gain back. Might not be increases in hourly pay..

Isn't this pay protected in section 12 of the MOU?

Default USAPA Board Approves MOU

I didn't see anything protecting it. It still looks like a big improvement though. 12 days off a month, 14% DC, DH 100%, and way better vacation.

AA reserve short call is considered < than 10 hours and long call is 12 hours

We haven't implemented the new reserve system yet. Then it goes to a scoring system.

Also we at AA have the most stupid vacation in the whole world. You will never get the first 2 days of any month. They are not included in the 1st week of the month vacation.
Oh, did you want the last day of say April included in your April vacation? Sorrry that is not included in the last week of April vacation.

So you want April last week? OK And you need the 1st week of May.
Here's what you get. You are awarded the last week of April but not the last day of the month in April. And you also got the 1st week of May, but you cannot have the 1st 2 days of May off.
So then you have to shift your vacation two days left in May, unless you're on reserve and then you should know that you cannot shift your vacation more than 3 days and it cannot result in you being less available for that week.
And the the last day of April. Well, maybe we might get you an EO emergency off.

AND AA vacation runs April through March.

Confused?

I hate AA vacation.

There, thanks for letting me vent.
