Who takes the reins from here?
I apologize if this topic has been talked about on some other threads. I’m curious from a labor standpoint about the future union at the new airline. I would imagine that a vote must been taken with all pilots asking who they want as their union, USAPA or APA? I suppose ALPA would throw their name in the hat too. Is there a campaigning time? I guess a simpler question is who takes the reins from here?

Considering that only a few members of USAPA like USAPA, the west hates USAPA, and AA pilots are APA and already much larger to begin with, it's safe to say APA will be the go ahead agent.

Ok, thanks for the quick answer. This last question is a little more speculative. With Delta's and United's new scope (More large but less total RJs) the AA bankrupt scope was really hit that nail on the head. I guess I'm wondering if management will use that as their opening case for the JCAB scope and go from there. Doesn't seem fair for the negotiating committee to have to fight off a fresh bankrupt contract. Thoughts?
