Too often hardliners on both sides use one SLI method to prove the other SLI method is correct/incorrect. I think that is flawed logic.

Blah blah blah...Hey wiskey, are you incapable of posting anything with substance? Even the Vatican is up to speed with our little bout.. What you fail to include in your simplistic rationalization is a minor detail. AW might have eeked a profit with oil at $30/bar. However, in todays environment of $100/bar AW would have chap7 quicker than quick.. Who cares about the past. I remember AA being an industry Titan once upon a time. Look at what their MIS-management has done to them.. Pilots do not control the stability of their respective carriers. Therefore we should not subsidize previous bad business decisions with OUR hard earned seniority!!

There is only one flawed logic! Not understanding that

"Binding means Binding".

I don't have a dog in it but I sure hope that the East gets what they deserve.

Yeah..A fair and equitable SLI. The nic was a punitive award that failled misserably at providind a balanced award. Our little bout has served to educate the masses on what NOT to do.. The NEW normal requires 3 arbiters and a TRUE binding process. The east has already subsidised this merger with substandard wages that have given Duggie the #s to impress the UCC.

No it was not and I bet you fell on the Nic award within a few percentage points of where you were on the east list. I swear you guys lie even when the truth sounds better. Prove me wrong though littleboy show me, hell show the world where you were on the east list and where you are per the NIC award? COME ON I DARE YOU. We both know the truth but you would rather LIE. The east thru DOH wanted to take its most JR res fo and elevate him to mid level line holding capt BUT that aint a windfall at all now is it?? Noooooooo thats the "gold standard" right?? Yeah the east is all about FAIRNESS.

No bump no flush would have prevented that. C&Rs would have kept each pilot group in check. The reality is that YOU and most westies would have gladly moved into OUR flying when the LAS and now PHX domiciles faced their respective demise.

I had over a 10,000% decrease in relative position during my the rest of my career with the Nic and AWA brought no equipment or bases to the merger that I would want. Can you say the same?

Forgive my ignorance, but didn't the Nic result in relative seniority with the top 500 slots going to East? I thought relative seniority was the fairest outcome when one pilot group is much more senior than the other. Wherever you were on the old list, you end up pretty close to that on the new list. Unless I'm missing something, how was it unfair to East? No flame bait here, I'm sure there is more to it but would love to hear what.
