Where's that word coming from? Co-workers? Management? Training? Scheduling Committee?

As compared to the "rookies" out West that have 4 day trips that are 4 red-eyes in a row, or even worse, flip-flops? Having done both, I will take the all-nighters any day of the week.....

Something about men in glass houses throwing stones comes to mind here.....

Ahhhhh as usual an easthole that's WRONG!! Our contract prohibits back to back redeyes so we dont have anywhere near what you have just stated! So like I said you non rookie commuter pilots have standup overnights.

These are the folks you defend Andy.

P.S. Whiskey, if you think that the East contract is bad, wait till you see the scheduling system AA uses. You are about to lose every good thing in the West contract to the AA system. There is no desire by the AA negotiating committee to upgrade (pay for) a new system. You will be wishing it was only as bad as the East contract. Prepare for a major lifestyle adjustment if you are a lineholder. Prepare for disaster if you are a reserve.

Not a res but atleast the AAA pilots understand the value of what it is we do so now I will make the wage that you fine folks have cost me for the past 6yrs. I have several friends at AA and from what I see of their lifestyles it is far better than what you may think.

No, it's the rational 90% that I defend -- the guys that aren't any different from the rest of us and just want to move forward. Now the radical 10%, on the other hand..... (Everywhere has them).

If anything should go away it's the short rest red eyes. 6:30am duty in, fly to PHX, 12 hours on the ground and then back to PHL by 6:00am the next morning. Who doesn't like going to bed in the early afternoon for a 4 hour nap!!!?
