Do we still get profit sharing until POR?

Yes we will get something until the POR however the long play on this seems to be we negotiated away something, and I can only hope we didn't give it away for cheeper than what it was worth.

USAPA negotiated profit sharing for a higher % pay increase. Assuming the tradeoff in annual pay % increase is proportional to the average annual profit sharing than at least the tax liability will be lower.

I personally thought it was rather short-sighted of the AA guys to give up profit sharing for a few more bucks on the hourly rate. Can't blame their being gun-shy, as AA hasn't been profitable in years, but we at US have enjoyed some nice springtime cabbage thanks to the profit sharing. Perhaps this can be revisited during the JCBA ...

Get paid now for what you do rather than bet that your management might actually not be able to hide all the money and show a profit. Profit sharing is a joke that only those fools who believe we as pilots can do anything to effect the bottom line during normal operations. Pilots fly airplanes safely from point A to point B, period. What those points may be or what aircraft fly them is totally out of our hands. For years pilots have mistakenly trusted management to take care of them, sharing the good times, blah, blah blah. Do your job in the most professional manner possible, collect your check and go home it is just that simple. Profit sharing is for suckers.

I can understand your point of view. When you can't trust management then you won't want profit sharing. But like the other guys said, it's been paying out quite nicely for U$.

I have had profit sharing at two other companies. When management has their pay tied to profitability then you will see profit sharing more often than not. It's nice o have a bonus on top of your pay. The secret is to have a decent pay rate then treat the profit sharing as gravy on top of the meat and potatoes.

Dal and Ual have it. There's no reason why we shouldn't. The jcba should address it SERIOUSLY. This new mega airline is gonna make some mega bucks and my opinion is we should get a piece of that pie!

Gary Hummel is a management salesmen. After the merger I expect him to have a high position in management. I vote no on the MOU.
