DFW Airbus
Is there any idea if DFW Airbus would trend senior or junior?
I wonder if a new hire would have any chance once they start arriving fast and furious? Also, is it true that Airbus training will be handled by Airways? Thanks in advance. |

Your friend is right with the very first bid run back in June - it went senior. But the two after that went incredibly junior... DFW 320 CA is around the same seniority as DFW S80 CA.
DFW 320 FO has also started going very junior.. if it continues this way, I have no doubt it will either be available as a new hire bid status or if not, reachable within a couple months after new hire. Right now the issue is that they send you to training on it, you get the type, then they release you back to your old airplane for a month or so, then you do a quick recurrent back on the Bus when it starts up. Crazy. |
Airbus usually goes very junior when added to a fleet because guys are scared sh$tless of it.

The October vacancy ran closed last night. I'll report back next week with results. On the last run jr CA was 4084. ish. DFW
Originally they said DFW base 1st then MIA. But not so sure about MIA getting Airbus until mid 2014 or so. For those not AA, we have a monthly vacancy/base/eqip/seat run. It projects 2 months ahead. So the Oct vacancy ran last night. Results will be out before the 17th when our Sept monthly schedules are awarded so in theory you could adjust your schedule bid for $ or whatever if you know you'll be going to training. |

Both, lol. Paint reminds me of the different company philosophy's. when us/Awa merged, Parker just had the in house designer come up with sketches for free. Horton paid $2 mil for that hideous tail.
See, we can agree on something. |

If you have a long RON in SFO, look at the bedspread. I think it was the inspiration for the AA tail.

What's the difference in an Airbus and a chainsaw? (And I fly the A320 series)
