Maybe Eric Holder feels that the New American's hiring practices don't give enough preferential treatment to minorities.

I wonder how much of this is posturing? They probably wanted more concessions than AA has given. Either way, stock is on sale now

Maybe posturing or other gov/business hijinks. But, certainly fits with AA's "We can't do anything right" policy of the last decade +.

Uh oh! Someone is yanking the strings on the Holder puppet; making him say and do ignorant things once again.

Better get your popcorn ready folks; this is going to be a good show.

And guess who's going to pay for this latest management debacle?

Again.

Looks like wall street is taking this pretty serious. LCC Stock down over 10% and AAMRQ down 39%

So what does this actually mean? Nothing? Give up more slots? Or is there actually a chance the merger does not go through and aa exits alone? It would seem to me this is just political bs and all it will do is delay the merger.

Probably find one or two scapegoats who really were not the culprits, then one way or another it will be the employees of various groups that pay ultimately.

Give up more slots, pay off important people. Oh no USAPA lives on.

If, big IF this doesn't go thru, one of these carriers will be parted out. Maybe not tight away, but within the next 5 yrd. However this is most likely a strong armed tactic to get more slots for either luv or spirit. Jmho.
