I was speaking just to the actual pay rates. I agree the West contract as a whole is much better. I was looking at training pay in the MOU and it described pay for PC/PT's. Doesn't the West do the same CQT type recurrent the East does? |

Our contract is significantly better so much so the APa wanted most of it and couldn't get it. The pay scales suck but vacation/ltd/guarantees etc. we're industry leading. I'll give you an example: A west crew doing a 3 day phx-hnl with a 24 hr layover blocks 12 hours and gets paid 15:45, an east or aa crew doing same would only get 12 hours. So the west pilot is making the equivalent of $181 an hour compared to the east pilots $160.
