Getting from US domicile to AA domicile

Any guesses on how long it might be before people are allowed to bid to transfer into non-native bases/aircraft once the merger goes through?

Won't be able to bid non-native aircraft until single contract/list/certificate. As far as bases I have no idea.

Look at what delta and united did. While they were working on a single everything they moved airplanes around and opened up bases in each others hubs temporarily.

Makes sense. I know they want to deploy assets where they do the most good very quickly.

That is correct. I know Doug has said many times that his first order of business is to get the right airplanes on the right routes.

The right a/c on the right routes doesn't necessarily mean it becomes a crew base. IE 777 out of CLT or PHL could be flown by a crew that flies the a/c in (ie JFK-LHR-PHL-LHR-JFK) or that is deadheaded in.

Mixed bidding will probably have to wait for the SLI and the removal of any fences. 'When' is the $64K question.

For nine years of commuting DFW-CLT I've run across a number of AA pilots making the opposite commute. How about we just quietly trade places until everything is ironed out?

at least 7 years!
2 years and 1 month till the merged list is done and at least a 5 year fence but maybe 7 year fence.
