Anybody know the difference between selecting 'Pilot Commuting' or 'r2 standby'? Both seemed to eventually yield the 2.01 dollar fee.
Additionally - once booked through myIDtravel on American , how do I get an eticket number? All I had was the booking reference. I was located easily in the system by the gate agent but was approached after boarding by a manager seeking my ticket number- which I did not have. I was allowed to continue but the integration seems to have some growing pains and confusion attached.

I wonder if is a browser or website glitch. I was asked for the $2 fee once (out if four times) since I posted this. The latest glitch I ran into is the jumpseat phone number which sometimes forwards you to the regular reservations number. Weird.

I must have booked a hundred jumpseats on AA on that myidtravel and have never been charged a fee. I'll have to look out for that.
