AA/US jumpseat
#311
Speaking of technical questions:
Can we have a jumpseat website either in lieu of or in addition to the IVR? I think it'd be a little more efficient in some cases, and most importantly, it would alleviate mistaking B's for V's and 3's for E's when trying to copy your record locator...

Haven't heard a word about a website and/or app. I believe it will be the same exact system as what LUS had...in other words, the 888 number in which you list for the primary and alternate. But hey, who's to say there never will be one.. I personally think it's a good idea.

After reading the updated info on AAPilots, a big drawback now is that we can't see who is listed or if someone is listed for a jumpseat. With TravelUS, we could see the flight lists and it would show PR1I or AL1T on the non-rev list. With the NRTP, the Priority List doesn't populate until people check in. You can see that there are X number of D2s listed, but can't tell if they're jumpseaters. It would be nice if we could get something programed so that you could see if someone was listed for the jumpseat for your flight before calling the Jumpseat Line. I know the IVR will tell you if the flight is book, it's just nice now to see it without having to call the number. Anyway that could be changed?

^^^ No kidding. It takes a minute to check JS reservation availability on TravelUS. There's no way I'd sit there on the IVR and check ten different flight numbers. That's going to be a huge downfall if we can't easily see the JS status from the travel site.

I *could* be wrong but I think that a FDJ listing was visible prior to the 24 hour check-in (under the current AA system). It shouldn't be too difficult to add the PRI and ALT remark, unless there are IT issues (again).

Nope. It wasn't visible until said FDJ checked in and the Priority List populated.
