Exclamation Mixed Metal Fusion

I don't really want to start yet another E/W turf war, but I bumped into three people this week who told me about various instances where airplanes were left in a questionable state by West crews. One was greased up (seats, headsets etc.), another one had switches placed in questionable settings, another one had the heat turned up to max. Seriously? Anybody else had surprises like this?

Can't we all just get along?

I've heard the same thing from West crews, though.

Regardless of East or West, if any of this is true, it's shockingly and disappointingly unprofessional.

This completely childish game won't last long. You can bet it's being documented. It won't be too hard to figure out who is to blame. After a few lengthy maintenance delays, I'm sure the company will step in hard and heavy. And when they decide on the termination route, it will be USAPA defending them against the company... That's funny right there...

Heh heh heh! I'm pretty sure the 767 and 330 drivers haven't seen issues either.

Agreed. I wouldn't feel any sympathy if these actions resulted in termination, regardless of which side of the Mississippi the doer is based on.

A lot of ASAP reports are being filed.

Prof standards and the chief pilots are tracking crew of reported aircraft to identify trends among flight crew.

Overall, I think West pilots may be alienating themselves from new hires.

You aren't joking on that. I was doing the usual goodbyes to our guests on arrival in phx and a commuting west pilot decided to mean mug me from half way back in the airplane. As he deplaned he never blinked but just death-stared and before exiting the aircraft got uncomfortably close to my face all while never breaking his scowl. Funniest thing the A FA and I had ever seen. I kinda feel bad for the two of us laughing him off the plane, but it was so ridiculous that we couldn't help ourselves.

Third listers are being alienated by both sides.

I have NEVER had any issues from an East crew. I wish the same could be same when I reference a West crew. It appears that some, not all, have hate that has totally clouded their ability to reason.

As for the "sabotaging" of aircraft- completely unacceptable. Hope whomever is doing this, regardless of side, is canned immediately. No room or patience for that kind of garbage.
