2015 Health Insurance
As I understand it US Airways pilots will be transitioning to AA health coverage for 2015. I am trying to find information regarding AA's coverage/explanation of benefits. I've called US benefits department, and the say they won't have any information until November when open enrollment starts. They also have zero contact information for the AA side of the house.
If anyone from the AA side has their explanation of benefits they could share, or a contact phone number for the AA benefits department, I'd greatly appreciate it. I am trying to get my ducks in a row now, and decide whether to use my spouses's insurance coverage, or stay with the new American's health coverage.

I am flowing to AA in less then a week, and I also was looking at the health Benifits ... Can't find, or don't understand what the specific differences of tier 1 or tier 2 is for each group; core, standard, value? Any details / thoughts would be appreciated thanks.

And, only $1000 a year total for dental insurance? One crown and you're done...

Thanks Elcam! I'm a little disappointed in what I've read so far, but I really appreciate the information. It amazes me what is covered and not covered by the different plans out there. . . Chemical dependency or gender reassignment surgery = covered. Feritility or marriage counseling = not covered. Things that make you go hmmm.

I agree. L-US is terrible compared to my previous employer, and now we'll be taking another hit with AA. I'm fortunate enough to have a spouse that works full time, and we most likely will be switching to her insurance. Not very impressive for the "largest airline in the world." I appreciate the job I have, but health coverage is a major area of importance for my family. . . and I've been pretty disappointed so far.
