Scope increases and outsourced flying
In a recent email from USAPA I noticed RJ flying is currently capped at 30%, to increase to 40% in a graduated scale over the next couple years.
Do they not realize that once scope is gone, it won't ever come back? Who cares about pay rates when you are outsourcing more and more of your flying? It seems they really have a hard on for "DAL/UAL rates" but have lost sight of some really important aspects as well, IMO. |
Old news. Are you not familiar with the MOU? If you worked here u were part of the vote. What are you missing? ??

APA/USAPA talk big about re-capturing flying, "holding the line" etc but outsourcing your feed an additional 33% over several years doesn't coincide with that thought.
Hopefully 3rd listers will start to permeate the union structure soon, with guys who spent a long time at the regionals and know the dangers of outsourcing. Retirement #'s/projections are only good if the jobs remain at mainline. |

I would be curious to know the percentage limit at Delta and United... |
Everyone, I want to point out at USAPA made a definitive declaration that they will not surrender any further scope. APA has not made this declaration, and does remain open to surrendering scope in this JCBA negotiation!!!!
APA's lack of public commitment regarding scope is disappointing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Relax.
Grandstanding statements on bullet points are just as worthless. I can assure you from the APA side that one single rumor about one single APA Board member regarding SCOPE brought out every "villager" into the town square with torches and pitchforks for a witch burning. We're not giving an inch. |

Just because APA didn't Publicly state it's position, doesn't mean they are acquiescing to management. We did get a email or hotline saying they have no intentions of caving on scope. 7576 |
As far behind DL as we are I can't see the APA giving anything up. I just hope they have someone on their side, make that our side, that is as good as those on the company's. They always seem to get more than they give. They are really, really good at it.
