Default PHX or CLT flying?

Hello all,
I am a new hire and just received my class drop for my Sept 27 start date. I live in Fort Worth and will request to be based there at the earliest opportunity. I understand that will occur quickly, but in the meantime I need to select a base to commute to. I have a few thousand hours in Boeings, but none of the 737 bases are attractive to me. I am looking at PHX or CLT for the easy commute, single airport coverage and cheap/easy crash pad availability.
With that said, are either of those bases commuter friendly as far as schedules go?
I'll take any and all advice concerning my selection.
Thanks for the help, I can't wait to get started, wherever that may be!

Consider PHL.

You’ll be able to get DFW, most likely 737, in 6-9 months. A year max. 320 probably the same. So I’d bid for whatever provided the easiest commute with one airport to cover. A lot of people think this is PHL. Perhaps bid LGA 320 and then hold PHL 320 before you’re even done with training to bide your time until you get to DFW.

I'd recommend PHX or CLT (in that order), then immediately post of a mutual base exchange for DFW (or next vacancy bid). You have to be done with training for MBE, but still, a good option in my opinion.

PHX all the way

numerous flights a day and less commuters than those going to CLT.

Just keep in mind, LGA 737 I is almost exclusively out of JFK. Except for the random LGA trip (there are zero EWR trips in this bid status), you are essentially covering one airport. Not the best for commuting options (looks like four AA and two DL per day), but maybe something to keep in mind if the bus slots start slipping away.

Not sure if they changed it back to that policy, but when I was a new hire they let people still in training participate in MBE.

I believe you have to be off IOE.
