Hey Doug,

What were you saying again about how frontline employees don't affect profits.....so that's why you don't pay profit sharing?

Why are fliers avoiding the world's largest airline?

This is a ripple in front of a tsunami. People can wade out into the sand as the tide pulls back and say it means nothing cause passengers are idiots only for so long. Reap it Doug and Scottie. KDA...."Kicking Doug's A$$". Delta has already picked up on this cute acronym and renamed it at their office. Friend is in HQ over there, and DP s a laughing stock.

So according to the article two people are avoiding American Airlines, one because the website complaint form only allowed 500 characters. Doug must be panicked!

So passengers are stupid. It's called a sample. Keep walking out into the sand.

Doug is fine. When the profits don't meet the margins, and the costs are too high, the employees will be the holding the empty bag. He and his boys have the profit sharing in their accounts already, plus the stock options, plus the bonuses, plus the parachute option, etc....like I said a ripple.

Your first post in 7 years....I am honored.

Huge problem on the US side. Agents treat crews like trash, it's embarrassing how badly agents treat the customers. Go to the DAL gates and they actually acknowledge you as you walk up. If I had a choice I would not pick AA, ever, to fly on.

Commuting ORD-PHL I tried AA once after UAL cancelled. Treated like crap by agents, FA, and pilots. Never used them again.

Always treated well by UAL. Even upgraded to BIZ class on ORD-NRT by the agent on vacation, I didn't ask.

I guess everyone's experience differs. The only place that ever treated me well when I was at the regionals was US. Always put me in First if there was a seat, and always gave me a big bottle of water.

In around 2 years here I have nothing but good things to say about the airways gate agents.

I think that's a PHL thing. Commuted through IAH today. United Express crew was great, and our US Airways agents were super friendly and got me a seat in back. I typically have good experiences with LUS mainline employees at CLT, DCA and elsewhere...except Philly.

LAA agents are typically not very friendly, in my experience.

The author of the article thinks the airlines are a public utility…just read anything he has put out… free breadsticks, cognac and 99 dollar first class seat should be available to all.
