That's a year or two away at least. I think the LAA pilots eventually will grow to like the IVR. In any case many changes heading our way there. We have an awesome committee and I greatly enjoy working with our LUS counterparts.

If Parker can dictate to the APA to get out of the way, do nothing, and let the IVR jumpseat proceed, I may have restored faith in the APA's abilities.

That's pretty much what's going to happen initially. We've been beta testing the IVR exactly as it exists today at LUS. Eventually, we are looking at a hybrid system. Nothing set in stone yet.

Good to hear, thanks for the work.

I'm confident that LAA guys will grow to like the System. I could probably live with a hybrid, but I think over the next two years they'll end up liking our system enough to drop the hybrid idea.

If APA doesn't drop the hybrid idea, not to worry, Parker and his crack troop IT team have already put it very last on the priority list of "things to get around to later, maybe". Parker dictates. The APA says "but, but, but".. Parker dictates again. The APA says "how high." Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Kinda what I was thinking... Why would the company even waste time with it, unless it was negotiated into the next contract?

Why would the company waste time... Because someone way high up and important in the APA said that the APA is working to improve our contract now that negotiations are over.

Quick question about the LAA IVR implementation. Is the upcoming IVR system on the LAA side for LAA pilots only, or can LUS use the IVR system on AAL flights and vice-versa?

When it comes down to it, nobody cares what APA or the pilots think. You can take polls and write letters and stand tall and loud at meetings, but it doesn't make any difference.

This is something that will be decided by the company and it will be done by them with their interests in mind. And the only think they care about is making sure people reliably get to work. They don't care about you getting home, they don't care about you going on vacation or going to see your girlfriend.

The system that makes sure people get to work when they're supposed to is the one that is going to be implemented, no matter what any of you want.

It's going to be for everyone. It happens when we combine RES systems this October (PSS.) We are getting the IVR since the company wanted a system that was already in place. the AA seniority system wouldn't work for both groups since we still won't have a combined SLI this October. The IVR does.

Thank you for the info, and for your work on the committee.
