Why epaulets on the sweater if it's not 'outerwear?'

Only getting issued 1 pair of epaulets. Guess where mine are going.

Also no epaulets on the trench AFAIK.
There are absolutely epaulets on both the trench coat and the rain coat. Check jetnet.

FWIW, NWA didn't wear wings on the shirt. In the summer, no one knew who we were once hats became optional. BTW, never let hats be optional. Either everyone wears one or no one wears one. It looked really stupid with a mix.

Can't agree with that at all. I've seen mix crews with some wearing hats and others not. Not a big deal unless you're a pilot that that works for a company that requires one to wear then you become more critical of those that don't have to wear them.

I think it should be optional. One less thing to have to keep up with for me.

Maybe some baseball caps would be better. Especially in the cockpit with the sun crushing on us 10 hours out of the day.

I've always found this amusing:

The guys who rail about having to wear a uniform hat (and then feel as if they've won some great victory over management when they became optional) because "I hate wearing a hat".

Then, the minute they get into the cockpit, or head out of the hotel room on the overnight, they put on their PING ball cap, and never take it off, even inside a restaurant.

Actually a baseball cap will shield the sun and is actually useful. The uniform hat barely shades your eyes at all.

When we were required to wear the Uniform hate it was nice to take it off in the cockpit and put on a ball cap for more coverage.

There are those that want it and those that don't. I actually don't like them because of how they fit and feel. It's just me, but if I'm required to wear them I will.

So what that means is that we will be issued wings for the shirts AND jackets, since the jackets also require wings.
From the uniform committee update:

g. One set of wings

Soooo... Guess we either get to buy another set (same with epaulettes) if we want to be 'compliant', or not...

Oops , missed that, thx Cam. You're correct. So the implication is that we have to buy the second set for the shirt. Ha, I know how that's gonna go!

That's interesting. Where did you see the raincoat? I just see the arrivals document with the single breasted jackets.

OK I see the look book link. Weird they did that now. Moot point with only one set of epaulets...
