Totally fine with ALPA, just NOT with guys like this involved. My fear, going to ALPA will have little change since the same people running APA now will be voted in...purely by name recognition

It was 3 hours CD, and for a regional that was pretty good. Duty rig was 3.75. However average month credit was well above 80.00 hours for most lines. Plus we had solid language for pairing trip mix to give people options. You wanted day trips, 2 days, or 3 to 4 day trips, you could bid it. We also had a much better trip trade system. You didn't like your upcoming trip, you could usually trade to something much better....up to 9 hours before departure in some cases. Line holders were allowed to trade for trips already assigned to reserves as long as it was a trade inside a certain time frame. Again this coming for a regional NC.

I apologize it was 2004 not 2002 when that contract was in place at my previous employer. I am not saying I was happier there, believe me I wasn't, I just expected more from 2 airlines, with 3 contracts, merging together for QOL and productivity.

#1 - ask the membership what they demanded.

#5 - check ALPA contracts.
Also check in what Group 757's are included in ALPA contracts.

#6 - check ALPA contracts.

Ask ALPA negotiators, with BK experience, for their impressions of the overall result.

And, then ask the same or similar questions of APA. The truth is "united we stand; divided we fall." and APA is nothing more than a division for reasons of self interest. Rejoining ALPA would make our profession and your jobs more secure. Without question ALPA is flawed, but the more divided the labor force, the weaker their hand.

As to BK, we should look to the Rail Roads. Pensions that transfer and are the same for all carriers . . . what a concept . . . it was all about the pensions.
