Upsddown, now that we've reached the last class start date for the returnees, I think your very plausible scenario will eventually be revealed as the reason for the delay in the SLI release. I'm still not clear on why attendance can't be determined until Thurs, though. Wasn't everyone required to show up this morning?
As I said before I don't have any inside information that this is the reason. It's pure reasoning on my part.
All the tea leaves indicate the Company and Union believe it may be coming soon as well.
The Company loaded all pilots last week into a single database (Saul's post that his new number was on AA pilots). The union has called for a Special Board meeting for the third week of September. Any idea why they did that?
As I said it's a guess, but based on the over under I would bet on that timeframe right now. I may be wrong but I cannot conclude any other reason for the delay.

I agree with your logic. Also, I believe it was Svergin who prophesized that we would know the list would soon be released once a union board meeting was called, as occurred at UAL/CAL. Also, with Oct 1st approaching, the possible release window has shrunk to the next 24 days, assuming they want a list pre-Single FOS.

No one knows for sure. If it's being delayed based on waiting on Letter T pilots then they will have the final count on Thursday (September 8). Depending on how long it takes them to verify, implement and proof the final list, my "guess" would be no earlier than this Friday (9) and no later than Friday next week (16).
Other than that, I'm out of "guesses".

I know that there are "scabs" from the past scattered among every airline and there are certainly individuals who have threatened to cross the picket line. I suppose the argument could be made that a threat to cross is the same as crossing. Still, I don't know each individual on an anonymous web board well enough to know if they actually have threatened to cross, have crossed - might would cross. And there's plenty of union haters here who would not join a union at all if they could get away with it. I just think too many people throw the term "scab" around in general- and I did say not only this thread. I have been complaining about it for years.

It doesn't matter to you because your not one of the handful of pilots that will be affected. I hope your not an AA pilot thinking "out loud" like that. If you are, it would be a very self-serving (could care less about anyone else) thought.
