Default Furlough Return Question

When a furloughee returns and is assigned A320/B737, is a seat lock incurred? If so, how long is that seat lock? Or can you bid and be awarded a larger airframe at the next bid if your seniority can hold it?

Happy May 6th. The day has arrived. Hopefully we'll get some reports on how it's going.

Classes of 10 on May 3rd and May 17 full of people cancelling their furlough. Class of 25 on June 6th is filling up with both voluntary and involuntary recalls. Next class in June is only scheduled for 5.

Will the number of furloughs returning be announced today? Or is this something that will take weeks to hear about..

Will take weeks (maybe months). The only way AA nows who will return is when they make the calls to the furloughees and get the yes or no from them at that time.

Hopefully all these pilots who are done kicking the can down the road can return to their superior positions, senior to never furloughed pilots with 25 years on property.

Uhh, what? If I return (highly unlikely) it will be back to 1st year pay, finishing up probation. After 14+ years of furlough.
