It's a small bid because they want all hands on deck for summer flying.

I'll guess Group 4 FO 11,000, group 2 CA 11,800
Because the 80s get parked and displacements will happen the next month with a new bid.

If the 80s park in Sept, wouldn't the next bid need to be effective in Oct to have the training in Sept?

Trump said that modern planes are basically too complicated for pilots to fly them. Time to bring the DC-7’s out of the desert!

No. What he basically said was that it’s almost seemingly more important that today’s pilot be able to type 80 words a minute than possess the stick and rudder skills of yesteryear.

Actually, he said pretty much the opposite. He wants his pilot to be a pilot’s pilot, able to actually hand fly, not an engineer.

Amazing the amount of confusion over one tweet.

He essentially said “you can’t design a machine which is infallible, so you need compentent pilots to operate it. You can over engineer something to the point that it’s a dangerous, stupid POS.”

I agree.

(Trump is not a great communicator, but those points are valid.)

His tweets are like Nostradamus passages. In them, you can see whatever you want to see.
