I'm told by a reliable (but un-confirmed) source that GLA is starting furloughs today (Thurs, June 1, 2017).

It's been a long time a-coming.

Good luck to those affected!

Well - furloughing part of their 55 pilots. Hmmm . . .

Good news is there are a lot of regionals hiring. Even some for direct hire captains. Good news is other regionals may pay better, even for having to start over on seniority.

Bad news is change is always uncomfortable. Bad news is a person may have to commute.

This will be true for other dumpster fires in the coming years. Remember you heard it here first, boys and girls. ;)
