Read another post they had structural failure at cruise altitude, supposedly reported by ATC.

Unsubstantiated at this point.

Dammit. Now saying 16 on-board...

Unfortunately, doesn't look to be any survivable-space in the wreckage (space that could be occupied during a crash and then evacuated). This looks to be a bad one.

Local officials are saying the debris field is scattered over five miles. They have also found victims up to a mile away from the main crash area.
