Just saw this in the news headlines this morning.

"lost confidence in his leadership..."

The biggest cop-out explanation. Pretty much anyone who gets "relieved" of command, the explanation is always "lost confidence."

Whatever.

At least they go on to say it's also because of his risk-management. So that's something.

Actually it is. His Air Force career is over. Of course, he'll get hired at SWA lickety split.

They always have a reason, if it's not UCMJ material, there's no obligation or good reason to embarrass anyone with public details. Same as how HR would treat a similar situation, with confidentiality.

Now if there's scandal or UCMJ involved, then they probably owe the public an explanation.

The guy who flies the #1 lead jet in a 6-aircraft air demonstration team is hardly that.

So a nameless faceless air show manager gets canned, BFD. Seriously...you're clearly not a military pilot. Why are you on this forum?

Not really. The whole "Eagle-thing" has been going on since about 1983. The Eagles guys have heard it a thousand times, and just let it roll off.

Maybe... once it has been 50 years since the incident happened... it will be forgotten.

Then again, probably not. ;)

Note: I'm pretty sure Speedy Martin was the SQ/CC back then.

Eagles can have the best air-to-air record, the Strike Eagles can play awesome bombing videos, but suck one......you know the rest. :D

Fact, at least a thousand times. I was hoping when the F-15E guys had one, very publicly, come out of closet the grief would finally end...nope.
"You can build a thousand bridges..."

Was that "low vul time" comment directed at Eagles guys? If so, scoff!
