Anything close to the rumor of BLV as a base?

Not positive, but the last town hall mentioned another Midwest base. I wouldnít count on any new bases until after the transition though.

With that said, I would be surprised if it is not the next one. We fly to nearly every destination out of there and have a lot of flights from there each week.

Personally, I cannot wait. I commute from DSM. Multiple flts a day to STL on WN. It canít come soon enough lol.

FA recurrent class was told new base announced by end of summer, definitely not AUS or SAV. They specifically mentioned DSM or possibly BLV.

I really hope that is true. That would be an absolute dream come true for me. It certainly is a terrific market/city for us. Damn.

Please not DSM. I said if that ever becomes a base we can move back there. I figured it would never happen.

Town hall said 1 this year and 2 early next year. They were vague about where though.

I'm pulling for SAV so you don't have to pull yourself.

And they couldnít have announced this 12 days ago on the Town Hall because why?

Still hope they are gonna announce another one end of summer.

TYS seems like an odd choice to me. We are really starting to get a lot of bases concentrated in close proximity out there in the midwest. And I'm wondering if this will be growth or robbing flights the other bases. If its zero-sum, then it's nothing but a restructuring and forcing people to move. If it's growth, then good news for everyone. More info needed.

I agree, I think itís restructuring. I think these bases are definitely relieving some of the load and inside turns from the FL bases. Complete speculation but I think itís to enable post transition growth into the Caribbean from the FL bases.

As this place grows and starts getting 5-6 airplanes a year (and actually gets to 130-150 in 5 years), it makes sense your going to start having a lot more bases.

The reality is you canít put all of em in Vegas, AZ and FL. I think strong markets that Allegiant has served for a long time and fly to 5-6 destinations (with good pax loads) will ultimately, I feel, have an airplane or two.

I'm no network planner, but Carribean flying should have been started ages ago, WN/F9(which now has a partnership with Y4)/NK already have decent service to the Carribean

Caribbean flying has been on the long term plan for quite some time. However, our IT department appears to be incapable of getting the international ticketing working.

If that were really the case they would bring in a third party to implement the systems and integration.
