Has anybody recently been to Venice airport? I heard there was construction that was wreaking havoc at check in and customs. We’re planning on arriving at the airport 2 1/2 hours early which I’m hoping should be plenty of time. What do you guys think? Any other pointers? Thanks.

2.5 is pretty standard for international deps and most of of the fellow pax will be there around that time or later so even if there is trouble there will be more people affected and the plane will wait (takes more time to pull x amount of checked in bags out).

If you’re going on one of the lowco shorthauls it might be different but then 2.5 is still far on the safe side.

Enjoy venice (keep away from the mass tourist spots for good food and coffee at reasonable prices).
