Only defer a class date if absolutely necessary. In this business, seniority is EVERYTHING. A handful of spots can make a huge difference. I can absolutely speak from experience. At a previous airline, I missed a furlough by one spot. I was dead last on the remaining list.

I was a 5/15 hire, mine was valid for 6. YMMV

Does that mean I have 6 months to accept the offer? Or within 6 months I would need to be have a class date?

Thanks!
