I don't understand why you all think this looks bad on Soapy? What if it is EXACTLY what he wants to happen?

So what he can run this airline into the ground then close it and take all the flying over to ATI. So they can run it cheaper than us. I wouldn’t put it past ATSG.

Yeah I know right? I mean....what is the guy known for? He has a niche in this industry. He is not trying to make ABX successful. So...insofacto.....I guess he's doing a good job?

So in other words ignore all 937-366-**** numbers next week. Hopefully I can slip out the back door before they JRM. Last time I was stupid an accidentally answered the phone, thinking it was training.

Do you seriously think ATI is cheaper to operate than ABX? Quit drinking from the Kool Aid fountain. The ATI’s pay scales are similar to ABX’s (this year). Next year (DOS+1) they will be higher. They commercial DH all their crewmembers. ATI buys hotels rooms in CVG. They cater most of their flights and not with crappy sandwiches from the CVG cafeteria. They even get ice for every one of their flights. At the end of the day ATI is more expensive to operate than ABX. Joe H. is so obsessed with breaking down the Teamsters that he is willing to spend anything for it.

Don’t buy into the rhetoric coming from the ATSG main office.

Yep. One of our crews recovered for ATI in Allentown a few weeks ago and got their catering. At least it came with a complimentary magazine.

And now she quit yesterday.

So in the span of 6 weeks they have managed to lose. Forsyth, Woodford, 4 Crew Schedulers, Jordan the Crew Payroll and planning manager, Kelly the Assistant Crew Scheduling manager, two dispatchers, a System Control Manager and X amount of pilots. Wow I really need to get out soon.

TIL that the way to make money in aviation is to go into the catering business.

Yeah, that got me, too. I'm guessing it's to clearly differentiate between regular ice and dry ice.

I thought the same but still made me chuckle to see it written out like that.

Either way....we would never see that on a regular ABX flight. Warm water no ice and like it! And we had to negotiate that!

I remember an old quote from an Airborne Express manager saying during negotiations; “if we give them water now...what would they want next.” In many aspects ABX still has the same mentality from the original parent company.
