View Full Version : No WOW deal, Indigo walks away.

Looks like Indigo now has about 90 million freed up.

That’s two rejections, something under the skirt must turning off investors. WOW is quickly turning into the “hooker with a penis” of the airline world.

I thought that the amount of money they were willing to pay for WOW seemed like a lot.

WOW has already sold their A330s, and I believe only has 10 or 12 planes. Unless Indigo had some incredible plan, 75 million seemed like a lot to pay for a tiny, unprofitable airline.

I think they wanted the ETOPS program. Anchor F9 in US and feed WOW from US to Iceland and connect with Whiz to Europe.
Might be a cheaper way

At the very least, by taking a peak at Wow’s books, Indigo now has a pretty good idea whether or not a transatlantic low cost model would be a profitable venture.

Just rumor... but our 321 NEOs have been ordered with HF radio and will have ovens.

Ok ok... I was joking about the ovens.

I just realized I made an unintentional pun with WOW’s name.

Maybe they’ll be able to pay for the long range tanks with the money they saved by not installing the ovens.

And the number in this article is up several million from the last article.

Icelandair has now bailed on talks for a second time. Que Bill Franke to show up again but in a pimp suit this time.

In a pimp suit .. LOL

That is a real possibility but I think Wow's books are a mess and no one will touch it at this point.

I think there is still a fair chance indigo buys them. Bonds holders and management were refusing to take such a loss, so indigo walked. I could see them stepping back in once the bond holders are against the wall.

Probably not so cheap since the 737Max sh!t the bed. Any operators that fly both the A320 series and 737s might be overbidding for the scraps leftover from WOW.

What I read is they had 10, plus 1 currently on wet lease. So, scraps. Not enough to put a real dent on the 737 Max parking lot.

After thinking about it used arbii are in high demand all over the world, I hunk airlines may actually get in to a bidding war over them
