Could you guys tell me all the differences between choosing the E175 or the CRJ? I have an upcoming interview and am struggling with how to decide, if I get the job. Thank you!

one is fully electric n the other one is semi electric. Doesnt matter, when you go to a big jet, they can careless which plane you flew

If you choose the CRJ, you’ll be based in DFW, PHX, IAD or SDF. If you choose the Ejet, you’ll be based in IAH.

Choose where you want to be based unless you plan on moving.

For what itís worth I saw if you pick CRJ for a May or June class you get a 30k sign on bonus.

That gives me hope that someone in management gets that we are woefully understaffed.

Have you guys topped 1300? If so, you've grown bigger since I've left.

The seniority list is one thing (1378). Rostered pilots is another.

So they may be putting more focus on CRJ hires.

They did increase the CRJ bonus. That should tell them money talks. Still, since 1/3 or more are failing out its net 5 crj in the class. We are not keeping parity.

The CRJ guys I started class with just finished FPT and are awaiting sims. All 8 have passed so far. None have done their orals yet though.

I donít think the 1/3rd failure rate thing is real. Of the 12 that went through my new hire class 11 made it to the line.

No. But a small one not a big one. Youíll come on as an FO and upgrade as soon as you bid for it. Then sit reserve forever.

That's what I was thinking only makes sense to live in base at that point. Do you know if Mesa is still short on CA's on the E175 side?

Yes they are short CA on the 175 side.

Expect to be on reserve as a 175 CA for probably 2-3 years.

Yes we have airport reserve in IAH. Itís usually 10 hours with no limits, except on last day of a reserve block it canít go past noon or 1800 depending which reserve shift you bid. They can assign airport reserve basically any time and as often as they want.

No PDC or D-ATIS. W/B is all we use ACARS for except communication with dispatch.

Probably close. Looks like about a Feb 2017 hire to reliably have a line in IAH.

It wouldnít be as bad if the company would quit hiding pairings to force PBS to create more reserves.
