Where did most of you get your PIC turbine time? Is turbo prop PIC turbine considered reasonable?

please use the google search feature on the top of this page to research the prop vs jet issue. It has been visited many times before but a short synopsis of the other threads.

if it burns Jet-A then it counts and of course the bigger the better and two engines are better than one but it is a check in the box

Turboprop time is perfectly acceptable. In fact, given a choice between PIC turboprop and SIC turbojet, turboprop PIC time is the way to go. I got all my turbine PIC flying Metroliners (cargo).

In the very competitive airline employment arena, PIC time is king. My advice is to get your 1,000 hours PIC turboprop time then pursue the SIC jet hours.

Good luck,

Uncle Sam, mostly in the sand box for my ME. All my SE PIC time is as an IP. 100% turbo prop, no additives or fillers.
