Big storm expected tonight in Mem. I'm just starting my first glass of wine. Vintage 4A2B. I'll have to take a pass if the phone rings in the middle of the night.

Gee, I'd love to help the Company out, but my next 10 days off are just packed with laying about the house, drinking, and visiting with friends. :D

Hate to see you drink alone, Busdrivr. On my first of several glasses of Basil Hayden. Cheers!

You guys should be safe for Friday.... They are talking about canceling the entire day sort tomorrow and recovering over the weekend.

More likely to be tons of stranded crews in the morning though...

Get ready for the "worldwide operational emergency".

To bad my vacation would conflict with me helping out.

Anybody that does anything that wasn't already in their line is out of line!

By the way, operational emergencies mitigate the contract (for what little it's worth), but operational emergencies change nothing regarding fatigue.

Pipe: Not defending the company, but the PAIRINGS are going to change and we will be working "different" the next few days via TRIP REVISIONS. So, yes, many of us will be working outside our original "lines" and considered "out of line" by your definition.

I'm awaiting my trip revision......

I don't need a beer to tell them to go pack sand if they call! ;)

No - I get the revision thing. I'm talking about answering the phone or trolling the OT.

I hope you all turn the ramp lights to purple/ blue in the morning so I can tell dispatch that we are not going since purple isn't going:D

By the way - I know you're not defending the company. One cannot defend behavior that is indefensible.

I believe you may still have a choice here. If you end up being put in Sub, you can decline the Sub trip--right?

I was discussing trip revisions, not substitution, something very different.

Check your email from FDX today....many revisions! The freight is going to need to move on Sat and Sun. CRS are working on revisions for many....

The contract permits 48 Hours domestically and 96 Internationally - if you do not pass thru your base.

Just remember in the company's eyes Wx cancellations trump cancellations due to staffing. Even though staffing may be the cause.

Numerous drafts noted for outbound open trips Fri a.m. as well as drafting crews for field hotel standby. Those crews were put on jumpseats for positionng to the field locations.

I live in Midtown on the dept to the 36's. An unofficial count at most, but I only heard 4 departures on the afternoon launch, all between about 1630 to 1730L.

20 flights total?

And, they got a mighty 777 off...to IND? Must be waiting to launch a formation of 727s to CAN.

Just drove to the hub. Overpass where 240 goes to 40 is all ice. Firemen at the accident were only allowing front wheel drive and 4X4s to drive on it. Min spacing 100 yards

Ah beautiful Memphis - weather doesn't seem that bad outside but lots of ice. Sort is 2 hours late and wave launch - but hey they did cater everyone.
