What is this I hear about the FAA getting rid of the PTS, and moving to something called the ACS? Has anyone else heard about this?

Fantastic, thanks for the information. Stumbled on this by accident and had no idea this was in the works.

After going through the slides, I like this evolution. It looks like it "could" standardize the checkride/oral a little more across the different DPE's.

I also like the better identification of missed test questions for the CFI. Now that we are required to endorse their logbook regarding remediation, this more specifically identifies the area to focus the remediation. Under the current system, you just know the broad topic area.
