Everything you seek is on the Pprune thread. It is lengthy and time consuming but all your answers are in there. I successfully passed the screening about 1 year ago but in the end decided Dubai was not for me. The interview, group exercise, CBT and Sim profile for Phase 1 and then the Phase 2 in Dubai with interview and medical is all spelled out in that thread. Best of Luck.

A lot of that negativity comes from people that do not do well. In my assessment group of 7, 3 of us were invited to Dubai for the final interview and 2 of us got job offers.

So what was wrong? Well, 1 guy was completely obnoxious. He did not follow directions in the group exercise and tried to dominate the entire process. He went as far as to disturb other candidates while they were doing their computer assessment. 1 guy did not participate in the group exercise. 1 guy didn't even wear a suit. He just wore slacks and polo. I wonder how his paperwork was presented. My sim partner was a type rated Turkish gentlemen. He was nice enough and knew the airplane, but he did not hand-fly well and they want to see that. I assume he did not prepare for sim portion.

Its my opinion that CTC simply has to sort through a lot of applicants that are less than desirable. There may be an element of truth to some of the negativity, but I did not experience it.

No process is ever fair, especially if you show up and have a bad day. As much as I hate the idea of people paying to interview at CTC, it does shield the company (and current pilots!) from the guys that SB describes above. Even with the screening process there are still the odd ducks that sneak through.
